Hi! My name is Aurélie, an animal photographer who’s been capturing moments since I was a kid wandering the world. Having grown up in five different countries across the globe, these whirlwinds of constant relocations have fuelled my passion for photography; pictures became my most treasured possessions and helped me feel connected when I missed the people, places, and animals from my past.

Therefore, I truly believe in the profound power of photographs, and I’m eager to share this deep appreciation with my clients!

I graduated from university in Scotland with a BSc in animal behaviour, which has been invaluable, especially since I have a wonderful yet challenging dog, named Took. She was on the brink of being euthanised due to her human- and dog-directed aggression that manifested from abuse in puppyhood. She’s taught me so much about canine anxiety and the joys of taking life one small victory at a time. She has also inspired me to pursue a career in clinical animal behaviour; I aim to specialise in dogs and horses with behavioural issues stemming from early traumatic experiences, just like with her. Took often sacrifices her naptime to be my test model for new photoshoot locations. It’s a tough job, but she's well compensated... in biscuits of course!

Also horses have been a major part of my life. In my early teens, I shifted my focus from solely riding to discovering the joy of groundwork and working with ‘problem’ horses. Over the course of 6 years, this interest led me to help an abused rescue horse from Portugal, a fiery misunderstood pony, and an elderly mare facing her own challenges involving fear. These experiences have deepened my understanding of equine behaviour and strengthened my ability to work with them through evidence-based methods.

When I’m not behind the lens, you can find me pursuing my curious blend of hobbies that many might find quite unusual; weightlifting, getting artsy with drawing and crocheting, getting lost in a good book, or going on long walks dedicated to birdwatching! Additionally, I have a strong thirst for knowledge, which I satisfy by taking courses and developing my skills, such as photography workshops I've attended with Sophia Aujezdsky, Claudia Rahlmeier, Karoline Metz and Ellen Sonck.
